Lewis Machine & Tool welcomes to its arsenal the revolutionary Confined Space Weapon.
This weapon is built with the LMT® patented Monolithic Rail Platform. The only true monolithic rail platform, milled from a single solid piece of aerospace aluminum forging. It utilizes two locking bolts accessible from the side of the receiver to lock in the barrel extension. This patented technology engages the barrel extension for a full 360 degrees around the extension and makes the barrel removable within seconds with a return to zero of the same barrel. One receiver can utilize numerous barrels of varying length, material, and caliber.
The CSW upper receiver is a mid-length receiver designed specifically to enclose its combined barrel and suppressor. The receiver has 18.25″ of uninterrupted 1913 picatinny rail on the 12 o’clock position. The 3, 6 and 9 o’clock rails have locating lugs and screw holes. The locating lugs take the recoil of attached accessories while the screw holes hold the accessory or rail to the weapon. This system comes with an attached grip stop on the front end.
This rifle also employs LMT’s Virtual Baffle System technology in its integral suppressor. This suppressor is full auto rated, passes SOCOM’s SURG high performance stress test, minimizes cyclic rate increase, at 100 rounds maintains a lower surface temperature than the competition, and minimizes point of impact shift.
Coming in at 24″ overall rifle length collapsed, this weapon is ideal for combat operations in close quarters and is rapidly growing in popularity with government and military groups around the world.
The MARS®-L PDW ambidextrous lower receiver features LMT ergonomic textured grip and shorty SOPMOD stock, and the ambidextrous features include bolt catch, magazine catch, and safety selector. As with all LMT lower receivers, the extension tube is coated with dry film lubricant. This particular model includes a unique weight and buffer system to account for the shortened receiver extension.
This weapon system comes complete with grip stop, flip-up sights, tactical two point sling, 4 rail segments, 6 segmented grip panels, one magazine, torque wrench, and owner’s manual.
